Beer Enni Odesa (1912)
Beer Enni Odesa (1912)
Advertising poster for Enni beer produced by the brewery F. Enni & Co. founded by Johann Friedrich Enni in 1862 in Odesa, then part of the Russian Empire and today Ukraine. After Friedrich Enni's death in 1902, his son Alexander took over and turned F. Enni & Co. into one of the largest breweries in the Empire. After the Russian Revolution the Enni family went into exile, never to return. Somehow the company still exists today under the name “ennifoods”.
Posterist: Ludwig Hohlwein (1874 - 1949). Although the poster is not signed, it is difficult to avoid the similarity with works made by Hohlwein at the same time, such as this one, especially considering that both posters were produced in Munich by the same printing workshop: Kunstanstalt Graphia.
